it takes 14.99 to send a telegram?!?! what a rip-off!
i take it back! i never want to get a telegram! rip-off! :-p
and its a flat fee now too!
that takes away from the telegram-specialness of trying to phrase what you want to say in the least amount of words :)
grrrr. sniffle :(
and to think i only wanted a telegram because charlotte got one once in sex and the city :-p
i am crazy, aren't i?

going home STOP tired STOP hope you are asleep, me going there now, midnight, not too late STOP finished little work model, added to old site model, fixed up sections, prbly in best shape of whole studio, wheeee STOP love you super duper much, will e-mail again in morning
I always wanted to get a telegram from somebody- thought it would be cute and ultra special lol :) and fun! i mean, honestly, who sends telegrams anymore? actually, can you still send a telegram? how did telegrams work? did they deliver it to your house or something? is there a special telegram truck? haha, but i guess silliness lol ^-^
i suppose telegrams were kinda the early version of e-mail??
hrm. its kind of funny- how there was like a whole art to how to write telegrams... since you pay by the word :-p
whereas, with e-mail, people get offended if you don't shoot off your mouth and blabber about everything that's happened in your life :)

i saw mike on friday!
woohoo!
well i went into work and had half a day (since our boss had given us a day off but told us that if we could come in, to come in for a few hours)
so i got off around 1:30 and then met mike outside my building
we went to starbucks and then i dragged him to strawberry :)
and looked at pretty things... but only for a few minutes cause i know how boring it must be for him to get dragged around while I shop for clothing lol
(I should go to the other strawberry this week that's a few blocks away from the one I usually go to and see what deals they have :) and what pretty things I can find there whee!)
And then we got on the subway and headed to see my grandmother-
and i visited her and then we walked back to the subway and then took it to the frick
and saw really pretty art- but the best is the gorgeous mansion that it's in...
so beautiful...
and then we walked to bloomingdale's to see if we could go and eat at le train bleu (or something like that whatever) basically the blue train- where you eat inside a train car---
but, it was closed off for a private reception! poop!
so we didnt get to go so went to cute little french restaurant instead.
i had LOTS and LOTS of mussels! mmmmm!!!
anyways, and then we were SUPPOSED to go across the street and see puppies! but POOPBRAIN had wanted to wait till after dinner! but the store was closed then!
so instead we went to a candy store and mike bought me lots of candy mmmm
and then we headed back to penn and i came home!

was awesome! shakespeare in the park! free cool theater! wheeee!
the set was really cool, and the whole production was incredibly clever.
One reason it's cool to live in NYC! Another is that i sat about 8 seats away frmo the actress Marcia Gay Harden.
And another, on my walk home, on Central Park West, I walked within 2 feet of Jerry Seinfeld on a bench talking to a homeless person with his bodyguard within 3 feet of him. . .rather amusing, he wasnt being filmed. . .just talking to the local flavor i guess :)

Well as can be gathered from allicia's rather verbose, but oh so wonderful entry, rich visited me from friday from monday. IT was lots of fun, because i actually did stuff for extended periods of time, rather than sit at home and watch TV or play video games. and i got to see lichka lots too!!!!! wheeeeeeee!
So friday i picked him up with allicia, then she went home, and rich and i went to a restaurant in my neighborhood. then we rented ghost ship. . . .the best movie EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! we knew it was going to be bad. . .
Allicia pretty much covered saturday completely, the hulk was absolutely horrific, it was boring, not entertaining in the least, and badly acted, except nick nolte of course. . .but i'm pretty sure his role as the mad scientist was very thoroughly researched (isnt he the one who wants to be cryogenically frozen, or is doing smoething like that to extend his life?) DONT GO TO SEE THE HULK!
As you may have been able to tell, we walked most of lower/mid manhattan Saturday, so Sunday was the day Rich and I did uptown. We went to the Museum of Natural History to see the Einstein exhibit and the new whale room, very cool! then we went to the east side to teh guggenheim and cooper hewitt museums. Then we walked thruogh the north end of central park and discovered this stream/brook in a very wooded valley area. People dont realize how large and diverse central park is. . .it's amazing, i love it. then we went to dinner with my rents, went home and watched the original, and much better italian job with michael caine. then the 2nd half of the cutting edge was on tv, and how could we resist that?!?!
Monday we did more exciting exploring in the park then we went to the theater area and got rush tickets for cabaret that night, then we went down to the very southern tip of manhattan, and walked up through the financial district to where allicia worked. i tried to get her a perfume present at the body shop, called lemon tea, or ginger tea, or honey tea or something, but i couldnt remember and they didnt have anything that jogged my memory, so i failed :(
then we went back to my house for dinner (the 3 of us) then rich and i went to Cabaret which was really awesome, i had heard the production was good . . but this was awesome, like the only production i had seen before was the harvard production, which was good for a harvard production, liek not terrible compared to a lot, but this was just so visually and musically amazing. . . . . awesome. it was with john secada, a latin pop star of some sort and a new comer as sally bowles, so no doogie howser or molly ringwald or deborah gibson
then put rich on the bus and went home, so all in all my most active 4 days of the summer, now back to lazing about till columbia! wheeeee!

so, saw mike yesterday
saw rich too cause he's staying over mike's house for the weekend
yepyep
so i went to work (yes, i know it was a saturday)
and worked for two hours
(yes, i know that i'm unpaid)
(yes, i know that i'm crazy)
so went into work for a few hours
and then headed to penn where i met mike and rich and then walked to chelsea to go gallery hopping
it was funny though-
crazy art. most of it was shit.
but we were in one gallery where the artist was there giving little speeches about each piece of art and someone was there taping it for her
so yeah, a tour guide shows up with like a group of 10 people
and started giving a tour... haha guess he didnt see the artist there...
"well, the artist was thinking this and htis when she created this... blah blah, unfortunately teh artist was not as successful in this as blah blah"
haha bullshit- embarrassing...
oh well- a lot of the "art" was bullshit haha
but there were some cool ones-
i can let mike write about those--
but yeah, it was POURING out ALL DAY
and COLD
i was absolutely soaked lol
well then we went to this diner and ate food cause we's was HUNGRYYY
i had potato skins with cheese mmmmmmm
FAT, GREASE, MMMM
and then we took a cab to my grandmother's nursing home so that I could visit her and that i did, after we went to this bodega type place and got a jade plant to give to her
so mike and rich sat in the waiting room and dried off while i went and saw my grandmother for a bit and sat with her when she ate dinner
its so sad, like people in nursing homes have lost some screws in their head... aging is such a sad process-
there was a woman who sits next to my grandmother at dinner and she was yelling at the nurses because she didn't like what they gave her for dinner and said she wanted what everyone else was having but apparently she had asked for what everyone wanted the last time they were having that... and didnt like it... but she kept cursing and saying that was bullshit, etc
she finally got chicken
well after that, we all headed out and walked to soho to see the prada store- which was designed by some architect and is really cool looking- it has a huge wooden wave in it (mike can say more since he's the architectury one :) )
and then we went to arturo's and had yummy pizza- the waitress was a wack-job
she was kinda crazy. first she was so cold and rude to us- especially when rich ordered a unsweetened iced tea--
weird- anyways, the odd part was that over the course of dinner she warmed up to us...
first it was a warmer tone of voice-
then it was like a hint of a smile
and then a full fledged smile
weird.
anyways, then we went back to penn and i left and mike and rich went to see the hulk even though its gotten such horrific reviews
haha apparently rich fell asleep and mike was holding back the desire to laugh the entire time :)
ok, time to stop writing. im tired :) :)
and

15 minutes ago, I left the scene of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat by Andrew Lloyd Weber and Time Rice, probably one of the most atrociously catchy pieces of absolutely terrible musical splendor ever written. This was no normal production, this was a presentation by the St. STephen's Lutheran Church Jubilation Youth Choir of someplace in Minnesota, maybe Minneapolis in my very own CAtholic parish of Blessed Scacrament in NYC (yes, at home I'm a catholic apparently, my parents remind me of this). This choir was on their Norheastern tour, performing up the eastern seaboard in bright tie dye shirts for the girls, and red t-shirts and OVERALLS for them guys.
It was terribly out of tune, badly sung, terribly acted, and painful to see the embarrasment of chilrden from the age of 10-15 (not the must graceful age as many of us shall recall) piece of wonderfulness I have ever seen. A life changing event I think, realizing. . .wow, was i this terrible when i was this age too? but it wsa sweet. . .but soooo white and waspy. . . one asian guy who was the best singer of the lot (if you know the show, he sang the benjamin calypso, if you dont, dont ask). . .and blond!!! everyone was either naturally for fakely blond!!! WHY?!?!?!?!?! It was too stereotypical. . . is this really what it's like? Do they really smile all the time, make jazz hands, and just be blond? and if so. . . Minnesota needs something. . .
Ok. . .so i dont know what this was. . .why i wrote it. . .it was just. . .sorry

Do you believe humans evolved from apes? 49% -- No, God created humans separately from animals 43% -- Yes, the fossil evidence suggests that humans and apes share a common ancestor 6% -- Not sure 2% -- I have no opinion Total votes: 169,428
So, the above is from one of those fabulous AOL polls. . .i must say I'm shocked. . .i thought we lived in a much more athiestic/scientific world then religious. . .or maybe the demographic that uses AOL are the religious fundamentalists, or i dont know! is this really a cross section of our culture? i know it isnt, but still. . .oh well!!!
yeah so i saw allicia a few nights ago now, i dont have all thatmuch to add, except that i had a marvelous time of course, and to defend the restaurant, it was a lot better the last time i went, which was granted quite a long time ago, oh well! it was cool, cuz it was really basically right under the brooklyn bridge, a much nicer bridge then most bridges in the world, and the old suspension bridge!!! wheeeeeee for fun trivia! or not so fun . . .eep!
so i'm seeing allicia this evening, and she has requested bubble tea from that place at the south street seaport. . . why am i not surprised? :)

Well I got to see Mike last night after work-
I met him at 5:30 sharp in front of my building and we walked to the restaurant where we were gonna have dinner-
it was a cute little place by the brooklyn bridge
Thankfully it wasn't pouring when we walked there and it was pretty and happy and Mike suggested walking on teh brooklyn bridge only to take it back! poo on you! lol
so yeah, we should take a walk on teh brooklyn bridge one day!
so, we walked to the restaurant and we were early so walked down to the water- and like whenever the waves crashed, water came flying up the dock!!!!! like through the holes between the planks of wood!
so i ran, and jumped over that area so i wouldn't get wet :) lol
it was amusing
and the water was SMELLY and DIRTY- there was so much garbage floating in it!!!! RIDICULOUS!!!
yuckiness haha :)
and then we had dinner which was alright-
by that point, my mind was gone (from work) and it was amusing lol
hahaha
but i must admit that i still do like work- odd me!
so yeah, dinner was alright- my shrimp was a little dry and sauce a bit too peperry- but it was still alrigt
(i had linguini) (is that how you spell it)
whatever lol
oh and yeah, the wine- eep. very acidic hahaha
actually when I went home, I had bad stomache ache :( poo
haha, although as mike can attest, i drank nearly none of it! haha
:)
and then after dinner, we went and walked around south street seaport and walked into random stores--
there was a store with just purple things!!!
and we found a bubble tea place! now i know where we're gonna go after work sometimes :) :)
and then got ice cream- yummmmm, dulce de leche
yummy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and then headed to penn :)
and then i came home
